The 2007 Franklin Corridor study set out to analyze the critical link between Eugene and Springfield: Franklin Boulevard. The purpose of this study is to use the resources of the community, of the university, and the cities to brainstorm the future of this critical piece of our community. This study is beginning to determine the future of the Franklin Corridor not only as a major transportation system, but as a vibrant and active place that welcomes all sorts of different commercial, residential, vehicular, and cultural activities
